Malév expands its Bucharest flights 1

Malev – From 26th March there will be up to four flights between Budapest and Bucharest every day, increasing the weekly count from 15 to 26. The new frequencies supplement the existing schedules providing a much better schedule for point to point business travellers and for those connecting from Romania to other cities on the extensive Malév network. This revised schedule pattern will satisfy the needs of a wide range of Malév customers in Hungary, in Romania and across the network. With this significant expanision of the frequency to Bucharest the Hungarian airline is confirming its ongoing commitment to support the growing travel demand between the two countries. According to last years’ experiences Budapest-Bucharest is one the most popular Malév route. In 2005 the number of passengers grew more than 10% compared to 2004, and the load factor was an average of 70% .
Not only is Malév increasing frequency to Bucharest but also to other Romanian cities too. One additional weekly service each to Tirgu Mures and Constanta will be included in the new programme. Altogether there will be four flights a week to the Transylvanian city and three to the Black Sea resort and port. Malév is also growing from Timisoara, which is Western Romania’s most dynamically developing city, where there will be three extra flights weekly, bringing the total to nine. The additional Timisoara-Budapest flights are ideal for Romanians wishing to connect to western European cities in a fast and efficient way. Malév’s flights to Cluj Napoca flown with Carpatair continue to operate twice a day.
With these new developments Malév is now proud to be the international airline with more frequencies to more destinations in Romania than any other – 55 weekly frequencies between Budapest and five Romanian cities. No other airline offers this range of opportunities for travel to and from Romania.
