Tyrolean Airways 4

tyrolean

Here is what I found about Tyrolean Airways.

Tyrolean Airways, fonded in 1978 started its regular flights in early 1980. Was bought by Austrian Airlines in 1998 and integrated Austrian Airlines Group. Even it has its own IATA code (VO), all Tyrolean Airways flights are coded by the Austrian Airlines IATA code (OS).

In 2003 all the fleet was re-branded under the name Austrian Arrow.

Still, Tyrolean Jet Services (part of Tyrolean Airways) offers private jets for business trips. All the flights are operated from the Innsbruk home base.

Lauda Air is another company part of Austrian Airlines Group.

well, does that mean that in December, when coming back from Vienna, I will be flying with a private jet (it says Tyrolean Air on the ticket). And another thing: WTF, “snacks and drinks for purchase on board”. Are they going crazy?

Ok. No. I explained to you:Tryolean Airways is different than Tyrolean Jet Services. Yes you will fly with a Tryolean Airways aircraft but the flight will be operated under OS(Austrian Airlines) code.

Oh… PS – I flew with Austrian 2 winnters ago and everything was for “purchase on board”. Meaning that you will have to pay even your glass with water.
